Promoting Health and Well Being Naturally in Abergavenny and Crickhowell
Many health problems can be helped using natural methods that help relieve and reduce your level of physical and mental stress. The science of the negative effects of stress on the mind and body are well documented. Modalities such as Yoga, Remedial Massage, and Meditation are now in the mainstream and have helped many people maintain and restore their health naturally. If you would like help with pain relief or just want to maintain your good health naturally, call me for a free consultation to discuss services that I offer.
Yoga has been practiced for 5000 years and has long been used to promote fitness of body and mind. Nearly all stretches and exercises used in Physiotherapy have their origins in Yoga! Besides the wonderful physical benefits Yoga offers, it also teaches our minds to be more calm and less frenetic. Yoga heightens our awareness and enjoyment of the present moment and teaches us to transcend the tensions and anxieties of daily life so that we can become more alive in the present.
Massage doesn’t just “feel good”. Manipulation of soft tissue in the body encourages muscles to relax and increases blood flow to the area. It reduces the heart rate and blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, relaxes tense muscles, improves range of motion, and increases serotonin and endorphin levels in the brain. It does all this wonderful stuff without drugs!
These sessions are designed for a specific injury or issue and involve different techniques to assist healing. Often, they will be shorter sessions than the customary one hour stress relief session, though some people like the benefits of both types of therapy in one session.
There is nothing mysterious about meditation and anyone can learn to do it. It is now widely recognised that practicing meditation has wonderful benefits for both physical and emotional health. In my Stretch and De-Stress class, we begin with yoga stretches and postures to relieve tension from the body, then begin with mindfulness meditation instruction and practice. It can be done seated on the floor or on a chair. The techniques used are simple and easy to learn and you will improve with practice.
Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just
sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any points for beginner blog writers?
I’d definitely appreciate it.

I’m no expert Fredric but what helped me was beginning with a private blog so I didn’t have to worry about criticism. Now I don’t really mind so much because I enjoy researching these articles for my own information and I’m not trying to make money. The one thing that got me writing though was setting a challenge for myself to write at least 20 minutes a day, whether I “publish” it on the blog or not. It’s completely do-able, and often I get started and write much longer than that. Just think of yourself as a writer. What do writers do? They write! No matter if it sells or not. (hope that is helpful). Thanks for your comment.

Aw, this was an extremely good post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to produce a good article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.

I started with a private blog and after a few articles, went ahead and took it public. It’s a good way to start until you get a flow going. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
